Due to the increasing expectations emerging from the wide community of members, EfVET Lake Como Conference, introduces two parallel strands of activities. A video campaign by eight international partners coordinated by UIL, the Italian Labour Trade Union, has been launched promoting gender equality. The three subjects for the series of videos produced reflect the main topics of the project, which are wasteoftalent genderpaygap and worklifebalance.
Gender stereotypes affect everyone since their birth. Often they are perpetuated without any intentions to harm. Despite all good intentions, children need to be supported in their individual growth, whether they love rugby or volleyball, science or poetry irrespective of their gender. Watch and share our video about talent waste, join the fight for gender equality in education!
For the same job. Watch and share our video, join the fight against gender pay gap! Working men… 9 hours. Why do men spend only one third of the time compared to women on activities such as cleaning, ironing, and taking care of their babies? And — most importantly — can we change that? We can! Watch and share our video about work-life balance, join the fight for a better work-life balance! It also seeks to ensure that work practices promote gender equality, and do not reinforce stereotypes, gender segregation and inequalities.
A photo contest by eight international partners coordinated by UIL, the Italian Labour Trade Union, has been launched promoting gender equality in transition phases at school, at work and at society at large.

Welcome to the third annual Canadian Women in Medicine Conference! After thoughtful consideration and consultation with colleagues in Infectious Disease and Public Health, we have decided to move the Canadian Women in Medicine to a virtual platform. This was an extremely difficult decision to make, knowing how many attendees, and certainly ourselves as well, had looked forward to meeting in person at the upcoming conference.
