How do i get my girlfriend out of my house uk

It was supposed to be just a few weeks. That was the deal. Your college friend Trisha was blindsided by her husband filing for divorce and needed a place to crash until she could find her own apartment. She's always been a bit of a mess, but you couldn't turn your back on a friend in need, right?

How Do I Throw Someone Out of My House?

Please help me out guys. After a nitemare couple of years its finally over and I want her gone quick. Its my house in my name and I pay pretty much the lot. Its time she left and took all of her shit with her. Its affecting my biking now and thats not good! I know I cant just kick her out and change the locks so does anyone know the legal way to do it.

There must be a legal eagle on here.. Comedy suggestions also welcome! The only legal way to force her out is an eviction order. Better off bringing a new woman home, or a man and claim your gay! Not trolling, am interested, and assumed as a non married partners you could do just that. Shes stalling until she finds somewhere else to go but I want her gone yesterday!! Obviously it would be kinder to ask first, give her a date. Doesnt quite just work like that.

If the OP has made her pay anything towards rent or bills in acknowledgement of her staying in the house, he is pretty safe. Just slap an eviction date on her.

No need to get nasty about it or do anything stupid either, just let her know as a tennant in your house, she is and always has been subject to being evicted by the landlord at any point with a months notice…. Some great ideas guys… If I give her a date then and she is still here can I then legally start to remove her stuff from the house? What do you reckon.

If I give her a date then and she is still here can I then legally start to remove her stuff from the house? My understanding of the circumstances are that if the home owner has not granted the Ex exclusive possession of the property, the Ex will occupy the property under licence rather than a tenancy and therefore the Ex does not have the same legal entitlement as a Tenant.

A few years ago a customer had the same problem, he went to work, and came home and found the front door axed in, a lot of stuff missing, as he rang the police a neighbour called round to say his girlfreinds dad had been round and taken what he thought belonged to his daughter. Police called round after the neighbours reported door, being axed in, because the girl actually lived there and had proof, they left when she said she had lost the keys, actually the locks had been changed.

Never ever have sex one last time with her, just in case she deliberately gets pregnant, that happens as well. So just give her notice to leave in a time-frame that suits you and is not unreasonable for her she can find somewhere for a 6 month tenancy within a month.

Then it would be an eviction order and you should lock her out. Good luck. Has she not heard of rightmove. This topic has 45 replies, 30 voices, and was last updated 7 years ago by unklehomered. Housing advice (trying to evict gf from home but she refuses to go)

Question: My girlfriend and I have lived together in her house for seven years but our relationship is not going at all well these days. If she wants to kick me out, what are my rights? There is no mortgage on the house but I have been paying all our regular household bills — energy, phone, council tax, the lot. I have nowhere else to go.

I currently own a flat UK and have a mortgage for said flat. My girlfriend is looking for a place to stay and it would seem mutually beneficial that she stays with me. She has offered to pay 'rent' money to me, as it would seem to make more sense that I get the money than some random landlord a few streets away.

Once a relationship has progressed, you and your girlfriend may decide that it is a good idea to move in together. It is typically much cheaper to live with your partner rather than maintain separate households. You save money on rent, utilities, gas, and even food. In some cases, she might agree that things are over and readily move out. Other times, you might have to reason with her, be very clear that the relationship is over, or even use legal methods.

Girlfriend living in my house, advice please.

If your son is the legal owner of his home and his girlfriend seeks to make a claim against the property, then she would have no right to the equity in the house generated from a sale of the property. However, the court would investigate whether she has established an interest in the property because of contributions she may have made to the purchase price, the mortgage repayments, or repairs and improvements made to the home. If it is found that these contributions have been made, then the court may recognise that she has an interest in the property. If your son makes it clear that the property is his, and there is no talk of the house being a joint asset, then this should go some way to demonstrate his intentions to solely own the property.
